What this calculator assumes
- United States completed-order estimate; tax and refunded orders are excluded.
- A TikTok-funded discount reduces customer payment, then TikTok adds that same amount back to the tax-exclusive referral basis. Shipping is excluded.
- The current transaction fee is $0; TikTok labels it no longer applicable for orders after April 3, 2023.
- FBT inputs enforce the current 150 lb actual-weight and 108 in per-side eligibility limits. Confirm the SKU and billed weight in Seller Center.
- Account incentives, ads, flat creator fees, returns, storage, inbound fees, and shipping offsets require Seller Center data and are not guessed.
Formulas, assumptions, and rounding are documented in our calculator methodology.

How to Calculate TikTok Shop Profit
Start with tax-exclusive product receipts after seller discounts. A TikTok-funded product discount replaces part of the customer's payment; it does not add revenue above the price after seller discount. Add only customer-paid shipping you actually retain. Then subtract referral, affiliate, campaign, fulfillment, product, and other known costs. Dividing estimated order profit by gross receipts gives profit margin.
Different Fees Use Different Bases
TikTok does not apply every percentage to the same number. Referral fees use buyer-paid product value plus platform discount, excluding tax and shipping. Affiliate commission uses product price excluding tax minus seller discount. Campaign service fees use campaign gross sales minus seller discount plus customer-paid shipping. Keeping those bases separate prevents the common mistake of multiplying one combined fee percentage by total checkout value.
FBT Weight and Multi-Unit Pricing
Fulfilled by TikTok pricing is per unit and depends on chargeable unit weight and how many units from the same seller appear in one checkout. Small qualifying packages use actual weight; larger or bulkier packages use the greater of actual and dimensional weight. Multi-unit discounts are substantial in lighter tiers, so order quantity can materially change fulfillment cost per unit.
Rates and Exclusions — Effective August 10, 2026
This calculator uses official TikTok Shop US documentation and the FBT table effective July 13, 2026. Referral categories, campaign terms, affiliate rates, fulfillment eligibility, and incentives can change. Confirm the exact category and account-specific rates in Seller Center before pricing inventory or committing ad spend.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Most US product categories use a 6% referral fee. Selected jewelry and pre-owned categories use 5%. Collectibles use 6% through $10,000 and 3% above that threshold; eligible pre-owned orders use 5% then 3%. Affiliate, campaign, fulfillment, advertising, return, and other costs can apply separately.
- TikTok's current US finance documentation labels the transaction fee no longer applicable and says it applied only to orders before April 3, 2023. The calculator shows a $0 current transaction-fee line so it is not accidentally added on top of the referral fee.
- TikTok states that affiliate commission is based on the product price excluding tax minus the seller-funded discount, multiplied by the affiliate commission rate. Platform-funded product discounts do not reduce that seller-price base in this estimate.
- It uses the US FBT table effective July 13, 2026. For qualifying packages at most 2 lb and 332 cubic inches, actual weight is used. Otherwise chargeable weight is the greater of actual weight and length × width × height ÷ 166. The current eligibility limits are 150 lb actual weight and 108 inches per side; lighter tiers also vary by units from the same seller in the checkout.
- No. Refund administration, affiliate reversals, return handling, return shipping, and chargebacks depend on order timing and disposition. Use this calculator for a completed non-refunded order, then compare the estimate with Seller Center for actual adjustments.
